PULWAMA, FEBRUARY 20: District Programme Office (ICDS) Pulwama organised quiz competition programme under BBBP under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Raghav Langer, here today.
District Programme Officer, ICDS, officers and officials of concerned department were present on the occasion.
As many as 4 teams of various government schools participated in the quiz competition.
Later a debate programme was also held on the theme.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC said that BBBP is an initiative of the Govt. of India to address the skewed sex ratio in 100 selected districts of the country .He said that the programme is aimed to change the mind-set of people towards the girl child. He lauded the efforts of ICDS, Education and Health Departments for effective public outreach programmes in this regard.
Later, the participants were given consolation prizes in form of mementos and certificates.
