Public Darbar held at Pinjoora Shopian

SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 28: District Development Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhry Mohammad Yasin today took stock of public grievances at a Public Darbar conducted at Govt. Primary Health Centre Pinjoora Shopian.

During the Darbar, Civil society members and scores of people of Pinjoora and adjoining areas met the District Development Commissioner and raised issues and put forth their demands.

The District Officers, Executive Engineers, Tehsildars and other concerned were present on the occasion.

Civil Society members and people from various areas of Pinjoora appraised the District Development Commissioner about their issues and problems and sought his intervention for redressal.

 The issues raised by the delegation from Pinjoora included non-availability of drinking water facility, scarcity of electricity, proper road connectivity, installation of street lights, construction of lanes & drains, repair of internal roads and damaged transformers, better drainage system and dumping site for garbage.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the delegations and assured them that their problems will be addressed on priority.

He directed the officers present on the occasion to work in close co-ordination and reach out to the people for redressal of their grievances.

 The DDC further directed the officers to beautify Pinjoora Eid-Gah, erect fence and install lights.

He assured that all basic amenities especially health care and other facilities will be provided to the people of Pinjoora and no stone would be left unturned to solve the problems of the locals.
