KULGAM, MARCH 04: The District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today along with a team of officers visited Gujjar Pora area of Noorabad to take stock of situation arising due to soil mass movement.
He was accompanied by ADC, SDM Noorabad, officers from PHE, R&B, PMGSY, Irrigation, DFO, Tehsildar and other officers.
During the visit, the DDC took a detailed stock of damage caused to roads, residential houses and school buildings.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to intensify damage assessment process and submit a report in this regard to his office. He also directed the officers to launch plantation drive in the area to avert the such incidents.
