After the threat

Government of Jammu and Kashmir has been on alert right from the beginning of the news reports that corona virus can become a problem or pose a problem for the future. Now administration has taken more steps in order to provide people some relief if some cases are also detected in Jammu and Kashmir. So far there is no such case detected in Jammu and Kashmir and authorities are trying their best to stop any panic in the society.

Talking to media about the emerging situation due to spread of COVID-19 virus commonly called Corona virus across the world, Principal Secretary, Planning and Monitoring and Information, Rohit kansal, said that the situation is being closely monitored in Jammu and Kashmir to identify all suspected cases of the virus.

Ensuring that the UT of J&K is in a state of alert, he said the surveillance for this virus has been increased ever since the first advisory was issued by the Government of India on 2nd February 2020. He said that the authorities were monitoring the situation and they have decided to keep a close watch on all the suspects if an when they are spotted during screening.

People of Jammu and Kashmir are very worried due to the threat of the virus as thousands of students from here have been studying outside and they can come to meet their families and could get the virus from such places. Already hundreds of students, studying in Iran have been requesting central government for the evocation of them from the country as Iran is witnessing rising number of deaths due to this virus.

In such backdrop, administration will have to keep close vigil on the virus and will have to screen all the people coming from outside especially from outside so that this virus does not become an alarming threat to the people.
