Union Minister of BJP from Jammu Dr. Jitendra Singh recently said that their government will soon come with new laws to address the concerns of common people in both Jammu and Kashmir regions. After the abrogation of article 370 in August last year, people of Jammu and Kashmir have felt that there would be now no safeguards for their land and for their state subject law.

Union Government while scrapping the article 370 had reduced the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories with direct control of Union Government. While the union territory of Ladakh has no legislature, the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is with legislature and there is no immediate possibility of holding any polls in near future.

In such a situation there are concerns among the local residents about the previous land laws and about the state subject law and they feel that in the new administrative set there would be not protection to their concerns. As with each passing day such concerns among the people of Jammu and Kashmir are only growing, the Union Government has decided to come with new domicile law and also with new land laws so that such concerns are addressed without any further delay.

Dr. Jitendra Singh recently announced that BJP Government at the centre will address all such issues concerning the common people and there would be such new laws which will provide all the protection to the local residents not only to their land but also being the state subjects of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state. Such laws if and when come to Jammu and Kashmir would be the game changers at the political front as the new political players like Muzaffar Hussain Beigh and Altaf Bukhari have been demanding such laws so that they can go to the people and ask for votes in coming elections in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
