There is lot of fear and panic among the people in Jammu and Kashmir as the media reports have suggested that some cases of corona virus have been found positive. Though officially only one case has been declared positive in Jammu, but media reports have suggested that many people were under the surveillance of authorities and there tests have yet to come from different labs.

In such scenario, authorities have as a precautionary measure closed the schools at the initial level up to fifth standard. As the threat is growing, the officials are closely monitoring the situation and have been taking further steps according to the growing threat. In this direction, the most recent decision to stem the possibility of growing viral threat, in Jammu region, authorities have to take a final call of how to deal with any eventuality. Similarly in Union Territory of Ladakh, the government has decided to close down all the educational institutions as two cases have been found positive and the reports of rest of the cases referred to the Ladakh hospital are awaited.

Government has taken all the precautionary measures to fight back such viral infection and have asked the people to take all the precautions prescribed by the medical authorities to avoid corona virus infection.

Government has also set up control rooms at many places and had asked the people not to pay any heed to the rumors but should ask the administration for any help in case they found themselves in lurch.

Authorities have been maintaining that by setting up control rooms they have been able to send a message to the common people that administration is there to help but the people will have to take all the precautionary measures to avoid this infection.
