VALID CONCERNS

Recent decision of UT administration to halt hundreds of years old practice of Darbar Move in Jammu and Kashmir has raised concerns in various political quarters especially in Kashmir valley. The concerns put forth by Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in series of tweets is not foolish or childish as described by BJP.
Omar Abdullah has raised valid concerns even about the wisdom behind such decision to stop Darbar Move in Jammu and Kashmir. Under the cover of COVID-19 threat, administration has tried to hide its designs about certain old traditions, which were basically connected with special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Just read this tweet of Omar Abdullah, questioning the wisdom of administration regarding Darbar Move order. In his tweet, he said “This order of two ‘functioning secretariats’ will just create confusion because no one will know which secretariat to approach to get their work done. It would be better to withdraw this order & just delay the move of offices till the #Covid_19 threat has passed.”
Administration has still time to pay heed to the suggestions of Omar Abdullah to keep their order under suspension to the COVID-19 threat is still in force. Once the situation will ease, in order to minimize the confusion in the administration, Darbar Move should officially function as it used to in Srinagar secretariat during summer months.
If the move is part of those designs, which are attached with August 5, 2019, decision to reduce the prestige, traditions etc. of Jammu and Kashmir further, and then Omar Abdullah is talking in vacuum.
