REAL FIGHT BACK

Union Territory of Ladakh is very near to get the fruits of their hard work while fighting coronavirus. They have few cases left now and all the cases in the hospital are showing signs of recovery. Already administration and other foot soldiers on the ground have lot to cheer about as 14 positive cases of COVID-19 have recovered and as a precaution have been kept still under surveillance.

This fight back has been possible due to two primary reasons one being the cooperation of people with administration and police for detecting and testing the cases and other being hand of cooperation and compassion extended by administration towards people.

These two key factors for fight back of COVID-19 in UT of Jammu and Kashmir are missing. There is no inclination of suspects to come for testing to the hospitals and there is no sign of compassion and cooperation from administration and police.

Ladakh model is before us and the primary reason for them to cheer about their efforts is their hand in hand attitude with administration. There have been no FIR’s against the people though there were many violation during the lockdown of COVID-19.

According to the official figures in UT of Jammu and Kashmir 1000 FIR’s have been lodged by police against common people for violating lockdown of COVID-19.

Administration in UT of Jammu and Kashmir should take an inspiration from newly created UT of Ladakh and try to shun the path of confrontation with common people while dealing with coronavirus crisis.
