Doctors, policemen in circle of COVID infection

Srinagar: In all the fresh cases emerging in the past 48 hours, there are many doctors and policemen who have tested positive to COVID-19. Many doctors, nurses and other paramedics are under quarantine and some of them have to undergo tests as five doctors have tested positive in SMHS hospital.

According to official figures 13 doctors, paramedics and nurses have tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir while dozens of them have been under quarantine waiting for their tests.

Doctors, nurses and paramedics have been demanding proper PPE’s and other equipment to perform their duties but the authorities have not been able to prove such facilities to all of them.

Similarly police force is doing the duties on the streets while asking people to remain indoors and in the recent past many of them have tested positive.

According to the latest reports 19 J&K armed police personnel have tested positive on Monday. There is a spike in fresh cases and now more and more police personnel and people working with health services are coming under its impact.

Similarly in the localities of Srinagar city despite declared as red zones, more cases are emerging as an elderly woman from Bemina, tested positive today.

Authorities have been asking people to maintain social distance and remain indoors, but in the past few days there have been lot of violations by people while going for shopping for Eid.
