Private hospital owned by govt doctor sealed twice in two days

Srinagar, June 2, KNT: Authorities Tuesday sealed a private hospital for the second time in two days here in Kashmir capital Srinagar. The hospital was sealed yesterday but ironically, the owner of the hospital who happens to be doctor had violated the norms and opened it up for the patients.

Official sources told news agency KNT that yet again a team led by Tehsildar Eidgah along with representatives from Chief Medical Officer Srinagar and police party from police station Safakadal sealed ‘Jaiyan Medical and Surgical Centre’ hospital located at Palapora Noorbagh area of Srinagar city.

Official sources added that the same hospital was sealed by a team led by Chief Medical Officer Srinagar yesterday.

Sources added that the said hospital is run by a government doctor posted in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

The doctor in question who is a resident of Dana Mazar Safakadal was practicing in the hospital during lockdown period and was executing surgeries and other stuff in violation of government orders. (KNT)
