Srinagar city and most of the districts in Kashmir valley have been put under severe restrictions on Monday even as the authorities earlier said that from June 8, onwards they will unlock life and allow people to live their normal lives with caution and restrictions.

All such plans of the administration were postponed and even the government offices were again closes as they remained open only for one day. The reason for the action taken by administration is the growing number of corona virus positive cases in entire Jammu and Kashmir.

Only two districts Ganderbal and Bandipora have been kept out of the red zone list of Kashmir valley and severe restrictions have been re-imposed in entire Kashmir in order to arrest the growth of corona virus as hundreds of positive cases are being reported each day. In such an atmosphere, it is the duty of the government to arrest the trend but they will have to introspect and look for their lapses and mistakes as they imposed lockdown much earlier and did not allow people to have any room even to go for buying the essential items.

Thousands of people were shown by the police either their vehicles were seized or they were panelized under the different sections of disaster management act. Even after such hard measures how the corona virus has spread with such a speed that it has infected all the sections of the society ranging from doctors to media people.

Government is virtually clueless of how to handle the situation as there all plans to unlock after the severe lockdown have been postponed.
