Chandan Kohli, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rajouri, said the police had arrested Balkrishan Bhat, a resident of Rajouri, for making sensitive objectionable comment on the Facebook account.
On the information about the sensitive/objectionable comment, the social media monitoring unit of the district police reviewed the comment, he added.
“Taking cognisance of the matter, a case under Section 153-A & 295-A was registered against Bhat at the Rajouri police station and was later arrested” said the SSP.
The SSP advised the social media users to comply with the IT Act norms and avoid making any sensitive comments.
He warned of zero tolerance policy towards those violating the law by making objectionable posts on the social media platforms.
