VIRUS IS PRESENT

Soon after the government easing the restrictions due to the pandemic, many people in Kashmir valley thought that the virus had disappeared. Coronavirus is very much present and we will have to collectively take all precautions to prevent its spread.

The growth rate of positive cases is showing a steep rise with authorities only asking people to maintain social distance and to take all the precautions prescribed by health authorities to save themselves from this viral infection.

Social distancing is the main weapon available with all the people living in Kashmir until some vaccine is approved by the authorities to cure the patients from coronavirus.

It is unfortunate and tragic that Jammu and Kashmir crossed the hundred mark of deaths due to Covid-19 and the number is going to rise in the coming days.

Among the fresh fatalities, three were reported from Kashmir Valley while one was from Jammu division’s Kathua district. There are dozens of patients suffering from coronavirus whose condition has been described by authorities as critical. With more and more cases being reported from almost all the parts of Jammu and Kashmir it seems that common people have started thinking that coronavirus has disappeared.

Unless we will not collectively take all the precautions and maintain social distance while coming out to work or to earn our livelihoods we will not be able to flatten the curve.
