The driver of Director Information and Public Relations sustained a bullet wound after the service rifle of Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB) man went off accidentally in Jawahar Nagar area of Kashmir capital Srinagar.
The driver identified as Ghulam Nabi is stable. “The bullet didn’t hit him directly. It hit the wall first. The driver was immediately shifted to hospital where his condition is stated to be stable,” an official told KNT.
The SSB man in question is affiliated with 10 Battalion D-Coy.
The official said that an inquiry has been ordered into the incident. (KNT)
