In the recent past Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has taken a number of decisions to restore confidence among the common people in Jammu and Kashmir on the administration and police.

In the recent SAC meeting he has taken many people friendly decisions including the health insurance cover for the common people and also a mechanism for the redressal of their grievances.

People can file complaints online and can get feedback about the progress on their complaints round the clock. It will take some time for the administration along with police to become responsive to the public complaints as in the past they have always denied such access to the common people either to the government offices or to the police stations.

Government has announced an online grievance redress system Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Grievance Redressal System (J&K IGRAMS), giving relief to the common people that now they have a system available to get rid of past practice that despite complaints no one is going to listen to them.

Common people in Jammu and Kashmir can also submit their grievances through a call centre that will be established across every district in the coming months though this portal has been launched at the initial stage only in few districts of UT of JK.

Government said that they have launched on a pilot basis initially in Jammu, Reasi and Srinagar districts and would be finally available in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
