Congress urges Govt. to address economic, unemployment crisis

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Tuesday urged Government to address economic and unemployment crisis rather than showing door to already employed people.
According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a meeting of JKPCC senior leaders was held under the chair of vice president and former MLA Haji Abdul Rashid Dar. At the occasion, senior party leaders reviewed the organizational affairs and activities and held threadbare discussions over the party activities in Kashmir. Meeting urged party leaders and activists to gear up for political activities across Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Those who attended meeting includes General Secretary JKPCC Surinder Singh Channi, District President Abdul Gani Khan, Abdul Qayoom Shah, Mohammad Sultan, Shameema Raina, Mir Rovais, BDC Chairman Umer Jan, Rashid Dar (Sangrama), Nazir Ahmad Lone, Sheikh Amir and others.
The meeting hailed party President GA Mir for his tireless efforts to strengthen the organization from grass root level and felt confident that Congress party will emerge stronger under his President-ship.
Participants of the meeting expressed serious concern over the wrong polices of the Government and said that unemployment has risen considerably which is matter of grave concern.
“Those who were employed earlier by the previous dispensation have been shown door leading to the public outcry, which has to be addressed at right earnest”, meeting said.
The participants in the meeting urged the Government to address the unemployment issue of the youth rather than showing door to already employed people.
People of J&K have seen worst, as a result, they were economically suppressed, the meeting added and sought comprehensive package for restructuring the devastated economy of J&K, as that will only address the crisis. (KNS)
