Handwara police files charge sheet against 4 militants, 3 OGWs

Handwara police Tuesday filed charge-sheet against seven individuals including four militants and three OGWs in Handwara.
In a statement issued to KNS reads, Handwara Police today submitted the Charge sheet in respect of case FIR No 104/2020 of Police Station Handwara.
The FIR pertains to the incident dated 03 April 2020 When Handwara Police along with 21 RR, 92 CRPF arrested 04 Militants and 03 Militants Associates of Let outfit.
It also said after conclusion of investigation the Chargesheet has been filed before the Competent Court by Handwara Police U/s 13,18,20,23,38 UA(P) Act ; 7/25 Indian Arms Act,and substantive offences thereof subsequent to obtaining necessary Government sanction for prosecution under UA(P)Act.
The Chargesheet has been filed against 04 Militants identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Chopan Son of Ab Rashid Chopan of Shartpora Langate, Mudasir Ahmad Pandith S/o Ab Rehman Pandith R/o Zargar mohalla Langate, Mohd Shafi Shiekh S/o Mohd Ahsan Shiekh R/o Langate, Burhan Din Wani@ Burhan S/o Mushtaq Ahmad Wani R/o Tulwari Langate
Police have identified the LeT associates as, Azad Ahmad Bhat S/o Ab Razaq Bhat R/o Shalpora Langate, Altaf Ahmad Baba S/o Salam Din Baba R/o Babagund Seelo Rafiabad, Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo S/o Said-ud-din Chalkoo R/o Silikoot Uri
for their role in hatching Criminal Conspiracy for the Militants act, Harboring militants and giving Support to the proscribed militants Organization, the statement said (KNS)
