Shopian probe

Shopian probe

The families of three young boys who were killed in a fake encounter Amshipora Shopian are still waiting for justice as police has yet to complete the probe though the army has already completed the initial investigation and have started action against their officials under rules for violating the AFSPA rules.

Police are still investigating as they have to go deep into the conspiracy of such killings and the family of the informer who has been booked have said that he was being made a scapegoat by the establishment to save the real culprits.

Omar Abdullah raised a valid question in his tweet about this encounter when he wanted answers from the establishment who was responsible to keep the incriminating material and ammunition on the bodies after the encounter.

He has said that the government should come clean and fix the responsibility to give a feeling to the people of Jammu and Kashmir that justice has been done in a fair manner.

But Omar Abdullah has forgotten his own tenure when he refused to order a judicial probe into the killings of 124 youth, most of them teenagers, in 2010 unrest when he was the Chief Minister of J&K State.

Either Omar Abdullah thinks that memory of Kashmiris is short lived or he is thinking that he is still smart to make brownie points by tweets and not looking inwards.

Most of these political leaders like Omar Abdullah during their tenures in the power have abused laws and have even arrested all those persons under PSA who used to differ with them politically.

They were very ruthless to silence youth and Omar Abdullah called all the protestors in 2010, as drug addicts, rowdy elements out to disrupt peace.
