Narcotics worth crores recovered during investigation of weapon smuggling case: Police

The Police on Sunday recovered norcotics worth crore during the investigation of weaping smuggling case in Teetwal area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara distric.

According to statement issued by Kupwara police joint team of Police and Army basis on intelligent inputs launched a search operation on 13th of this month which had culminated in the recovery of 5 pistal, 10 pistal Magazanis, 5 granades and 138,9MM rounds from Gundishart area of Karnah in this regard police registered a case FIR No 78/2020 under section 5/25 arm act and three suspect namely Tanveer Ahmad Khan son of Ab Rasheed Khan resident of Teetwal, Sajad Ahmad Kakroo son of Bashir Ahmad Kakroo resident of Gundishart and Zakir Hussain shah Son of Ali Haider Shah resident of Takia Bhaderkote were brought questioning during the interrogating during sustained questioning and upon their disclosure five packets of Brown Sugar like substance weighing 5.5 kgs have been recovered from the home courtyard of one of the accused namely Tanveer Ahmad Khan Son of Ab Rashid Khan resident of Teetwal Karnah .

Police said In statement All the three accused have been arrested and further investigation u/s 8/21 and Sub section 13, 18 and 39 UAPA Act is underway.(KNS)
