Farooq is the president of Peoples alliance, Says will fight peacefully

Farooq Abdullah is the president of the recently made peoples alliance while as Mehbooba mufti was declared as Vice president and Sajad lone of Peoples Conference would be the spokes person of the alliance. Peoples alliance was recently made by all the mainstream leaders of Kashmir for the restoration of Article 370, which include CPIM and J&K Congress.

A joint meeting was held at Mehbooba Mufti’s Gupkar Residence where the Gupkar Declaration has now been formally shaped and the next meeting of the alliance will be in Jammu, the party has also decided to take part in a convention in Srinagar on the 17^th of November. This alliance has also decided to take into confidence all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and try to meet people on the ground.

Farooq Abdullah while talking to reports after the meeting said that Peoples alliance is not anti-national and our aim is to ensure that the rights of people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are restored, we will not allow anyone to divide us on the name of religion.

In the meeting it was declared that the flag for Peoples alliance will be the same of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is in place to mention that this flag created a controversy when Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said that unless this flag is not returned, they will not touch tri-color.
