NIA has become an arm of BJP to intimidate people in Kashmir

Reacting to the Wednesday raids by NIA in Srinagar including on the office of Greater Kashmir, Former Chief Minister and PDP President took to twitter and said that such raids are part of government plan to carry on crackdown on the freedom of expression and dissent.

Mehbooba said that NIA has become an arm of BJP to intimidate and browbeat all those people and organizations that refuse to fall in line, set by the central government in Kashmir.

Mehbooba further said in another tweet that the central government was forcing the media publications to write op-eds about diabetes and yoga, at a time when even the entire Jammu and Kashmir is up for sale. She said that the government of India is plundering all the natural resources including land in Jammu and Kashmir. In her tweet she said, “In BJP’s ‘all is well’ charade, truth is the biggest casualty. Any journalist unwilling to become a part of Godi media is targeted”.
