Omar Abdullah recently started the first public outreach programme in Drass said that whatever has been snatched from the people of Jammu and Kashmir would be taken back as this all has been done illegally and the decisions are being imposed by muscle and not by the public consent.
Omar Abdullah said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have decided to fight back this decision of the central government as the main stakeholder that is the populations of erstwhile state were not taken into confidence before bifurcating the state into two union territories.
BJP and its central leadership have clarified the decisions taken on August 5, 2019, would not be reversed and it is in the interests of the common people and for their benefits that they have taken these decisions to bring them out of regressive laws and regimes.
Omar Abdullah was basically deputed by the political alliance recently forged between seven political parties to open channels of communication in the Ladakh region especially with the people of Kargil. Omar was heading the delegation of People’s alliance for Gupkar declaration, and after the visit he claimed that people of that region were very keen to be the part of the resistance to be started by this alliance in all the three regions of erstwhile JK State.
The outreach programme to the common people and to the respective leaderships has been started by Omar Abdullah and most likely People’s alliance for Gupkar declaration will start similar programmes both in Jammu and Kashmir regions.
One of the main faces of this alliance is Mehbooba Mufti who recently held a meeting with the youth of her party and claimed that she is trying to connect herself at the grass root level with the aspirations of youth and reiterated her resolve to fight back and get the special status of Jammu and Kashmir back from the centre.
