FIGHT BACK

People’s alliance for Gupkar declaration has decided to fight back on the political turf of Jammu and Kashmir and in this connection they have taken a decision in the Jammu meeting that they will fight in the coming DDC and panchayat elections.

The alliance has more than seven parties and all of them will be fighting these elections untidily and the candidates would be decided after consultations and their names would be announced by PAGD president Farooq Abdullah.

JK Congress has played hide and seek in the past few weeks as they were not sure how to proceed with the agenda of PAGD. Soon after the tricolor controversial remarks by Mehbooba Mufti, JK Congress skipped most of the meetings of PAGD in order to keep the people guessing whether they were in or out of alliance.

Congress even announced participation in coming DDC elections even before the conclusion of the meeting held by PAGD in Jammu. Congress said that they will not allow BJP to win without any fight and have decided to go to these elections.

Although PAGD president Farooq Abdullah recently told the media that JK Congress Chief met him and assured that they will be the part of alliance and will also contest these elections under the umbrella of this platform.

BJP in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions will face a tough fight as the PAGD is going to announce the candidates from the platform. In Kashmir valley already BJP was having very less chances but could have won some seats as they would have gone without any contest.
