KARGIL IN NEWS

BJP had to suffer a lot of embarrassment when the media outlets brought to surface their alliance with the National Conference in Kargil Hill Council. BJP tried to do damage control by saying that it is a local arrangement and has nothing to do with the party having any official alliance with Farooq Abdullah headed political party.

Although both the National Conference and BJP have denied that they have entered into any alliance in Kargil, the fact remains that Kargil Hill Development Council has an alliance between BJP and NC.

Cornered by opposition parties, BJP said that they have no alliance and is a local arrangement to run the affairs in Kargil, many political opponents said that how BJP is having an alliance with a gang which is out to weaken the country in collision with foreign forces.

Recently Union Home Minister Amit Shah called Farooq Abdullah led people’s alliance for Gupkar declaration as a gang being in cohorts with foreign forces to weaken the nation and have all separatist tendencies.

BJP said that they fought Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, elections separately and the two parties have not come together in the recent past. Trying to justify their alliance with the National Conference, BJP said that the two parties had come together to keep Congress away from the Hill Council.

It is in place to mention that in the elections held in year 2018 for Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, people gave a hung verdict and finally National Conference entered into coalition with two PDP councilors and four independent candidates to take the charge of the council. However, those two PDP councilors later merged with BJP.
