Administration of Jammu and Kashmir has been trying to ease the coming back of all those displaced families and get the citizenship who came to Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 and are now staying in different states.

Recently Jammu and Kashmir Government has allocated to each displaced family of POJK a unique ID which would be the proof to seek registration and subsequently the domicile certificate in Jammu and Kashmir.

The process of giving the domicile certificates in Jammu and Kashmir is already going on as the entire PAGD leadership along with many parties of Jammu including JKNPP have been opposing such laws in union territory and are demanding halt to such process.

Recently PAGD leadership while participating in the DDC elections have made it clear that the elections and power politics was not their goal and they will not take any rest unless they will not force the BJP government at New Delhi to restore article 370 and 35A.

PAGD leadership has said that all the decisions taken by the central government on August 5, 2019 were illegal and unconstitutional and there are slew of writ petitions pending before the Supreme Court seeking restoration of article 370.

Former chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir along with many former lawmakers and ministers have been very vocal for the restoration of article 370 while the BJP leadership has been maintaining that the clock would not be reversed and this special status of Jammu and Kashmir stands buried.
