It is official now that one of the important constituents of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), People’s Conference has pulled out from this few months’ old amalgam of mainstream political parties.
The People’s Conference as a mainstream political party was having inner rumblings and a huge political churn, asking its chairman Sajad Gani Lone to make things clear for the party cadre on ground.
The trigger was the DDC election and its results as many official candidates of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) not only faced proxy candidates on the ground but many of them lost.
A former minister and important Peoples Conference leader Imran Ansari earlier told the media that People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) should make its stand clear on many issues including the proxy candidates fielded by its constituents on the ground, resulting in the defeat of candidates.
Imran Ansari also questioned the wisdom behind the meeting of National conference delegation with Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha at Jammu and also a separate meeting by another People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) leader and CPIM face in Kashmir Yousuf Tarigami with Lt. Governor.
Imran Ansari, appealed to his chairman Sajad Gani Lone to take up his straight questions with president of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration PAGD Farooq Abdullah as the ambiguity and confusion was creeping in.
