Before his release Mehbooba welcome the news about Mirwaiz

The People’s Democratic Party president and former chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday tweeted about the good news regarding the release of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from his house arrest.

She termed the news about his release as a good news and appealed the government to release all those people from Kashmir who have been detained for months together, especially those detained in outside jails.

In a Tweet she said: “Good to hear about Mirwaiz’s release from arbitrary detention. I hope that hundreds of Kashmiri men languishing in jails in & outside J&K will also be released soon. It’s time they returned home to their families.”
