Calling it a political vendetta earlier, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has said that the Enforcement Directorate can question her in their Srinagar office and she will not appear before their officials at New Delhi.

According to the PDP spokesman quoted by the news agencies, Mehbooba Mufti was scheduled to appear before ED officials at New Delhi but she has not appeared giving the reasons that she was having prior political engagements in Kashmir.

According to the PDP Mehbooba Mufti wants ED to investigate the case in Srinagar, as it pertains to her according to them. PDP said that Mehbooba is ready to cooperate with ED provided she is questioned in Srinagar.

“She has nothing to hide and is ready to cooperate if the ED has to ask her anything regarding the case. We would love to serve them a cup of tea if they come to Srinagar for any kind of investigation or do it through video conferencing,” PDP spokesman was quoted in news agencies.

According to Kashmir Walla, Mehbooba Mufti has written a letter to ED, asking them to come to Srinagar for questioning or do it through video conferencing.

The ED on 15 March had summoned Mufti for questioning her in a ‘money laundering case’.
