Higher secondary Budgam closed after teacher tests positive

In the growing spike of covid-19 cases, district authorities of Budgam have decided to close government girls higher secondary school Budgam on Wednesday as one of the teachers tested positive to the infection.

Authorities of Budgam were reported by the news agencies saying that this educational institution will remain closed at least for five days till the next step is taken.

Educational intuitions in the entire Kashmir valley have been opened by the authorities despite the second wave of pandemic showing its signs earlier.

DAK and other such institutions of doctors in Kashmir valley had alarmed the authorities on time to go for a massive scale of vaccination in order to combat the second wave in Kashmir.

Meanwhile news agency KNO while reporting about the closure of the educational institutions in Budgam district has said in its report, that the educational institution has been closed for at least 5 days after detection of Covid-19 positive cases in the school.

He said that all the primary and secondary contacts of the affected teachers and students have been advised to self-isolate and quarantine themselves.

The official said that testing for all the contacts will be undertaken in due course of time.
