More micro containment zones in Srinagar city

The district authorities of Srinagar city on Saturday due to the surge in covid cases in some localities have announced two more localities as micro containment zones.

This step was taken as the Srinagar city has witnessed in the past few days a sharp increase in covid positive cases and dozens of them include travelers and tourists.

Night curfew has already been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of the virus while the people have questioned the wisdom of the government to go for such curfew as there is no night life in Kashmir valley.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, in a tweet announced the two more localities as containment zones which are Hamdania Colony Rawalpora and Chinkral Mohalla Habbakadal.

“2 more localities declared as Micro containment zones in Srinagar. Hamdania Colony Rawalpora, Chinkral Mohalla Habbakadal,” DC Srinagar tweeted.
