CRPF opens fire at a vehicle, suspecting militants, woman injured

CRPF opened fire on a vehicle as they suspected that militants were in it and with the result one woman was injured in this incident. According to the local reports CRPF opened fire on suspicion, at Awantipora in Pulwama district leading to injuries to a woman.

According to the news agency GNS, reporting the incident from Pulwama district has said in its report that a woman was injured after paramilitary CRPF personnel opened fire upon a vehicle in Awantipora area of Pulwama in South Kashmir district on Saturday.

A senior police officer told GNS that CRPF fired upon a ‘suspected’ vehicle, leading to the injuries to a woman who was latter shifted to a hospital.

Her identity was not immediately known. Emerging story, more details awaited.
