The government of Jammu and Kashmir has started its focus on all the developmental projects pending because of the pandemic. In the recent past several high level meetings were held to take the stock of the situation about such projects.

Recently Divisional Commissioner Kashmir said that the 137 kilometer Baramulla-Banihal railway line shall be electrified and work on the project shall be started in a week’s time.

Though the government is very serious to start the work but the growing cases of covid-19 may hamper the work again as the work force which had come after months have started migrating back from Kashmir.

Such a situation is not good for all the developmental projects in Kashmir valley as we have a limited season of work only during the summer months.

With only a few months remaining for the work, the covid restrictions imposed in Kashmir valley will force the laborers from outside to migrate back to their respective places, the pending projects will remain in pipeline.
