Fresh guidelines

After the unprecedented rise in the covid positive cases in entire Jammu and Kashmir, JK government has responded by issuing fresh guidelines and seeking public support.

After the series of high level meetings, JK government has ensured that the hospital oxygen supply is not disrupted. Government has asked people for the cooperation and for the proper covid behavior.

Among the guidelines issued by the government there is not a single guideline which does not need public cooperation. Recent past thousands of people have visited gardens in Kashmir, including travellers and tourists.

In such huge public rush covid guidelines were flouted and most of the people were not wearing the masks. Already under the stress, economy of Kashmir has faced a fresh brunt with the second wave of covid-19.

Tourist season which was picking up in this spring season, is now witnessing a dip in the footfall of tourists. Most of the bookings for the summer season have been cancelled and it would be a real disaster for the tourism industry in Kashmir as thousands of families connected with this trade have not witnessed any tourist season in the past few years.

Apart from economy, Kashmir is witnessing now a rapid spread of covid-19 and even the children have been affected by the disease this time.

Although the authorities claim that they have still the bed capacity to take patients, but the doctors have already said that covid designated hospitals are almost full with patients in Kashmir.
