Growing covid

Second wave of covid-19 is impacting life in Jammu and Kashmir in a big way, forcing the government to impose some restrictions on daily life.

Earlier authorities imposed night curfew in all the 20 districts on April 20, as the covid wave showed its presence in a big way. The latest government order has said that they have imposed section 144 in Srinagar city as the city is showing the highest number of cases in entire Jammu and Kashmir.

In the feedback meetings, the JK administration is trying to plug the loopholes in the preparations in hospitals to lay the covid-19 patients.

The number of fatalities are increasing on each passing day and the government has already kept a 1300 bed covid facility in the Indoor Stadium of Srinagar.

Although the government is claiming that they have the enough supplies of medicine to treat the covid patients along with hospital oxygen supply, the media reports from the different covid designated hospitals of Srinagar are giving a different picture.

People have started complaining about the medicine scarcity related to the treatment of covid-19 patients and there are also visible shortages of oxygen concentrators in the government and social organizations.
