Containment efforts

While the second wave of pandemic is not showing any signs to die soon, administration in Jammu and Kashmir has intensified containment efforts especially in the rural areas to save human lives.

In this direction recently LG Manoj Sinha has inspected many health facilities in Jammu region in order to have an on spot assessment about the preparedness to contain further spread of covid-19.

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has intensified testing in the rural areas and in this direction necessary training is being imparted to frontline health workers so that they can conduct testing in their villages.

Similarly the government in the past few days has intensified the vaccination process especially the age of 18-45 so that the vaccination is enhanced and people are saved from this deadly infection.

Although bulk of vaccines are not available in Jammu and Kashmir, in the recent past the government has been able to procure from the centre a lot of vaccines and the jabs are being given at different vaccination centres in Jammu and Kashmir.

Frontline workers in the tourism sector are being given the jabs at various centres so that if the government unlocked Kashmir when tourists started coming, the tourism sector would not suffer.
