Citizen-Centric approach

Citizen-Centric approach

The Jammu and Kashmir government amid the second wave of pandemic has adopted Citizen-Centric approach to tackle Pandemic & deliver government services to the common people at their doorstep.

In this direction panchayats are playing a key role to deliver such promises and LG Manoj Sinha in a path breaking decision recently decided to give funds to the panchayats for setting up of five bedded covid care centers.

These centers will play a vital role for the government to reach out to the people at the village level and apart from testing, vaccination and other such responses to the pandemic, the panchayats will also help the authorities to deliver different government services to the people as now there is proper linkage for the administration to reach the people at the village level.

With a three tier system of local governance at the gross root level, Jammu and Kashmir administration is trying to revive the importance of the people in all the decision making processes.

After the panchayat elections the government held DDC elections also and the linkage was completed with the common people through their electric representatives.

But both DDC members and panchayat members have been demanding more powers and more response from the authorities so that the grievances of the common people are mitigated at the earliest.
