After the recent capture of a man-eating leopard in the DC office of Budgam, the authorities on Friday said that they have captured another leopard which was spotted by locals in the Khan Sahib area of Budgam.
Giving details wildlife officials said that they have captured another leopard in the Kalshipora area of Khan Sahib in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Locals said that early in the morning one of the locals spotted the leopard coming towards the village and they immediately informed the wildlife department which in turn dispatched an expert team to the village who could immediately trap and catch alive the wild animal.
There have been reports from the various villages near the forests in the Budgam district that the leopards were roaming about and were trying to come near the localities.
The issue got highlighted when recently a man-eating leopard mauled to death a four year old girl in the Ompora area of Budgam and forced the authorities to dispatch teams in all the vulnerable areas not only to catch this leopard but also the other roaming leopards.
