Skill development programs if tailored for the youth would be of great help for the employment generation in different sectors and after getting the skilled training the youth of Jammu and Kashmir can be of great help in different sectors as there is a lot of need for such skilled workers.

Underlining the importance of Market-driven Training for youth of J&K, besides imparted Soft Skill Training to the youngsters, the Lt Governor recently suggested for roping in reputed Organizations/Corporate Houses, Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) at Baramulla and Jammu for up-skilling of the youth so that they can be the game changers at the ground level in Jammu and Kashmir.

He asked the CEO Mission Youth to establish Mission Youth Centers with recreational facilities in Jammu and Srinagar, besides setting up digital libraries in coordination with the Education department in every district. Directions were also passed for setting up One-stop facilitation centers for guiding youths regarding benefits of different schemes and establishment of District Youth Centers.

Stressing on the need to extend Psycho-Social Support to the youth, he instructed for establishing Counseling Centers in 8 districts, four in each division.

At the counseling centers, the youth can get better options for their future and by proper counseling they can change their destiny not only at their individual level but also at the collective level.
