Tral woman’s body recovered from Dal Lake

The body of a 36-year-old woman was found and retrieved from Dal Lake along the foreshore road area by local inhabitants on Thursday afternoon.

Reports reaching a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) said that some locals saw a female body floating over waters, following which efforts were made and the body fished out from the lake. The body was kept near the venue for some time and locals informed to identify the deceased woman, however, no identification was made.

After intimation, a police team arrived at the spot and took the body.

A police official concerned in the meantime confirming the recovery of woman from the water body said that the deceased (name withheld), 36-year-old, is a resident of Tral.

“We are ascertaining the facts into the matter”, he further said. (GNS)
