Mehbooba tweets on the killing of Kulgam

Former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has said that if the parents of a 17 year old boy from Kulgam are saying that he is innocent, the army must probe the matter and come clean.

Already police have in a press release said that some rumors were being floated about the militant killed in Kulgam being a civilian. Police have said that they will act against all those persons under law who are spreading these rumors.

However, Mehbooba took to twitter and said, “Encounters occur on a daily basis in J&K. But when legitimate questions are raised the security forces must be held accountable. The parents of the 17 yr old minor killed in the Kulgam gunfight claim that he was an innocent civilian. GOI must come clean on these allegations”.
