The government has appealed to people to exercise caution even after the covid wave has receded while they come out from their homes to do their work.
Recently LG Manoj Sinha while taking the review meeting of covid task force set by the government asked his administration to explore innovative ways to restrict crowding in dense areas, put more focus on religious places, market & public places in entire Jammu and Kashmir.
He has asked different wings of the administration to ensure Covid Appropriate Behavior, implementation of restrictions, guidelines in tourist places so that the people are saved from covid-19 infection.
People must be educated about the danger of the 3rd Wave, which is possible if the people will throw caution to the winds and will start violating sops especially in the markets and at the tourist places.
The government has recently said that in 13 Districts of Jammu and Kashmir there is achievement of 100% vaccination of 1st dose in 45 and above age group.
The health department has been very busy vaccinating people in other age groups and it is the only long term solution to save the people from the possible third wave of infection.
While the government has extended the closure of educational institutions till July end, the administration is keen to open the educational institutions as there is dip in the covid cases. However for this purpose LG Manoj Sinha in the covid task force meeting has asked his administration to go for the vaccination on priority in the educational institutions in Jammu and Kashmir especially in colleges and universities
