KUPWARA, JULY 23: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today expressed gratitude to the people of Kupwara district for following Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB) in letter and spirit during the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha.
The DC was addressing a presser in his office chamber, here today.
Giving details, Imam Din said that 76.17 percent people of above 45 year age group have been vaccinated till date. He said the positivity rate has declined to 0.29 percent while, recovery rate has gone up to 98.5 percent which is a sign of satisfaction for the district.
He said the district has currently 53 active cases, adding that only 4 patients are admitted in hospitals.
The DC reiterated his appeal to people to continuously follow the Covid appropriate behaviour and other SOPs. He also appealed them to come forward and get vaccinated at nearby vaccination centres for their safety against the pandemic.
District Health Officer, Abdul Gani Dar and Nodal Officer Covid, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh were present at the occasion.
