Cloud burst create havoc in Bandipora, damage houses

Due to the incessant rains and cloud burst, people were panic in Aloosa village in North Kashmir’s Bandipora as the area in its upper reaches was hit by a cloud burst.

The cloud burst created a flash flood like situation forcing the people to move out of their homes to safer places while the gushing waters of flash floods damaged some houses also in the area.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the cloudburst triggered flash floods in Aloosa, resulting in partial damage to a residential house, mosque, while link roads were inundated.

They said that, however, there was no loss of life reported in the incident, while a foot bridge in the area was washed away.

The officials said that teams have been sent to the area to assess the damage.
