Upgrading of infrastructure

In the Budgam district recently Advisor to Governor held a review meeting of all the infrastructure development projects and asked the officers to submit the plans for the tourism spots so that they are upgraded on time.

He emphasized that the existing infrastructure needs further maintenance and up-gradation to attract more footfall of tourists. He, however, underlined the need of paramount importance to preservation of ecology and environment along with development. He said that the Master plan should be framed for all three tourist destinations of Budgam after a deep study and survey.

It is now the responsibility of the officers to frame the master plans for Yousmarg, Doodhpathri and Tossamaidan in the Budgam district and submit these documents as soon as possible so that the government can take the final call of how to make the infrastructure available for the tourists to stay at these tourist spots.

Advisor gave on spot directions to have long-term and short-term plans in place at these tourism spots in Budgam district so that the visitors get a hassle free journey.

He said that he will be taking a detailed review of Doodhpathri and Tossamaidan tourist spots in the next fifteen days, showing the urgency to the officers and also the seriousness of the government to develop these tourism authorities.

Yousmarg and Doodhpathri have vast potential to promote water and winter sports and in this direction necessary steps shall be initiated at an earliest.
