Jal Shakti Department in Jammu region under the scanner of ACB

After receiving complaints of corruption against the officials of Jal Shakti Department in Jammu region Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau on Tuesday raided several offices of the Jal Shakti Department and took away a lot of material from these offices for scanning.

Reports said that teams of ACB sleuths on Tuesday morning conducted multiple raids in various offices of the Jal Shakti Department and recovered a lot of material for the investigation.

According to agencies from Jammu reporting about the raids they said that ACB teams this morning conducted simultaneous raids across the Jammu region in offices of the Public Health and Engineering Department (Jal Shakti).

“The raids presently are going on at Kathua, Jammu Rural, Jammu Urban, Poonch, Ramban, Nowshera, Dharmadi areas of the region,” said an official.

He said that there were a lot of complaints regarding embezzlement in works worth crores of rupees that led to raids.
