Ahead of August 15, IED recovered in Tral, defused

Police and security forces in the past few days have intensified search operations and checked the number of places in Pulwama district, especially in Tral.

During one of such operations, police said that they were able to recover an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Dadsara area of Tral and later it was defused.

A police official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an IED was detected by a joint team of forces at Dadasara area of Tral on late Thursday night which was later destroyed by the bomb disposal squad.

He said that a major tragedy has been averted ahead of 15 August.

He further added that police have taken up the issue and further investigation has been taken up.
