Kupwara in focus

Border district of Kupwara in North Kashmir is in the focus of development for the Jammu and Kashmir administration. The government is trying to give a flip to the developmental projects in this district so that the people living here can see the visible change on the ground.

Recently LG Manoj Sinha visited this district and also inaugurated a Mela at the tourist destination of Bangus Valley. He asked his administration to take all the efforts to the logical conclusion so that the facilities are created for the visitors to stay in this meadow.

He said that the focus would be on the overall development of Kupwara and he was informed by his officers that 5815 developmental works will be completed in the current financial year.

Youth Clubs formed in 355 panchayats, remaining to be formed by August 15 by the Jammu and Kashmir administration in the Kupwara district is a huge achievement.

While he inaugurated the “Bungus Awaam Mela” amidst grand arrangements for village games, exhilarating local performances, and other activities to celebrate the 75th year of Independence at Bungus valley, a lot of people were present on the occasion.

He observed that J&K is progressing rapidly in every sphere of life and the administration is working continuously towards achieving the goal of building a sustainable and prosperous UT.
