The government of Jammu and Kashmir has recently listed its achievements on many fronts including their development and their focus on youth.

They have been able to rope in a lot of youth under different government schemes and recently they were able to open around 4500 youth clubs under Mission Youth started functioning in J&K from the 15th of Aug.

Unemployment in J&K is being tackled holistically here with its percentage decreasing to nearly 11% despite covid pandemic. He further gave out that it is the endeavor of this government to slash it down under 5% in future.

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has recently said that around 21943 projects have been completed in J&K in 2020-21 up from 12637 in 2019-20 and 9229 in 2018-19. He said that each project has to be now mandatorily e-tendered here bringing total transparency in the system of award of contracts and quality of work executed.

Regarding the solid waste management, J & K has formulated and implemented the policy and strategy for solid waste management (SWM) besides devised an action plan and bylaws for the same. He said that tenders for bio-remediation of 9 polluted rivers have already been floated.

In compliance with Biomedical Waste Management rules the UT has constituted the State level Advisory Committee and District level Monitoring Committee. Similarly action has been taken regarding implementation of Construction & Demolition Waste Management Rules, e-Waste, Plastic Waste Management Rules and Hazardous & other Waste Management Rules.
