Infiltration attempt foiled in Krishna Ghati Sector

Army and police on Saturday said that an infiltration attempt was foiled in Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch district of Jammu region.

Giving details they said that the army detected some movement near the border and there was a brief exchange of fire between the infiltrators and army.

While the infiltrators went back, according to the army they left behind some items including a video camera. Army and paramilitary forces are combing the area and further reports are awaited.

According to KNT , the Army said that after exchange of fire, infiltrators went back to the other side of the border. It said that during the search operation, various items left back by infiltrators were recovered.

Army said that clothes, food, medicines and a videography camera along with batteries and a memory card were recovered.

The latest infiltration attempt Infiltration was the sixth in two months in the same Sector.
