Police chief says situation normal but under close watch of security grid

Police Chief Dilbagh Singh on Tuesday said that the ground situation in Kashmir valley is completely under control as the security grid including army and paramilitary forces have handled the situation in a highly professional manner.

Dilbagh Singh told the media, “we have to move forward together to strengthen peace, identifying the enemies of peace and weaning out the mischievous elements strictly dealing with them under law.”

He said that all those restrictions which were imposed after the death of Geelani have been eased in a gradual manner as the situation remained peaceful.

He said that police and security forces are closely monitoring the situation and have handled the ground with most professional manner as there was no incident of violence anywhere in Kashmir.
